Below is a list of popular tools and equipment used in paranormal investigations, with a brief introduction to how they are used.

EMF READER

​

The EMF Reader is a classic and a staple for investigating ghosts. It's capable of taking readings of electromagnetic fields not visible or known to us, which indicates the presence of paranormal activity. Although, EMF readers can also be set off by heavy electronics such as computers, household appliances, and breaker systems.

ULTRAVIOLET (UV) FLASHLIGHT

The UV Flashlight is a helpful tool when looking for fingerprint evidence for specific ghost types as well as residue left behind from paranormal entities. They are also bright enough to provide regular light if an alternate light source is not available.

SPIRIT BOX/VOICE BOX

The Spirit Box is an excellent and exciting tool. It uses multiple radio frequences and AM/FM channels to provide energy and vocabulary for entities to communicate through. Getting any evidence through one of these devices is fascinating for learning about a ghost.

D.O.T.S. PROJECTOR

The D.O.T.S. Projector is a pricey but effective tool for investigating. They are especially helpful in large rooms to capture a broader spectrum of evidence. If a ghost were to pass through the lights being projected onto the walls, floor, and ceiling of an area, the light would "break" in that area, giving visual evidence of an entity. 

REM-POD

The Rem-Pod is another pricey but fascinating tool in paranormal investigations. Although they are mostly useful with intelligent type ghosts. The Rem-Pod is a specific sensor which when touched by a person or entity, even invisible ones, will set off 1-4 lights and will create a beeping sound to alert the sensor has been set off. Depending on how hard the sensor is touched, or how high up the sensor is touched will depend on how many lights are set off.
